Mark and Tanner were formerly a master/slave relationship before they became lovers in 2010, ending eight years of being involved in the BDSM scene upon Mark having to raise his nephew Matt upon the death of his brother.

On the left is "The Dark Prince" himself, Mark. Born Mark David Prince on March 22, 1980, he originally hails from Aspen, Colorado. Of Italian and Dutch background, he grew up in a conservative Catholic family that did not like the fact of having a homosexual son into leather. In 2001, at age 21, Mark moved to L.A to "be amongst his people", getting involved in the leather scene where his dark persona was born at.

When not at the club, Mark is a test pilot, having received the type rating to fly the F-104 Starfighter. His company "Precision Aeronautics" involves flying test payloads for the Department of Defense and the US military, his new venture is launching small satellites from his Starfighter. Tanner, his slave is his wingman and co-owner of his company.

At the age of 30, Mark was asked to take in his nephew Matt Prince, whose parents were killed in a car accident. Mark had to make a number of life changes to take care of his thirteen year old nephew, which ultimately cost him his reputation in the leather scene. Mark ultimately retired from the leather scene so he could be a uncle, his former slave then being "upgraded" to his lover, and now husband.

On the right is Tanner, a beige wolf of Puerto-Rican and French background. Tanner Alex Rodriguez was born February 26, 1981 in Phoenix, Arizona to a Puerto-Rican father and his American wife of French background. Upon coming out, his parents were not accepting of his homosexuality, Tanner moving to L.A to get away from the feeling of rejection. in 2002, he met Mark at "Whips" the leather bar that the Dark Prince lurked at, seducing at first sight. Tanner, not wanting Mark to slip away, became his slave for eight years, a unique balance of friendship, business partnership, and sexual lust for each other. Tanner helped his master raise his nephew during the first couple months of adjustment upon Matt coming to live with Mark, Tanner helping him around the home and taking care of matters, becoming a instant best friend to Matt who liked Tanner's friendly personality.

After watching his master be exiled from the leather scene, Tanner himself simultaneously retired as well, professing his love for Mark, the two ending their master/slave relationship to be "normal" lovers instead. Upon marriage equality returning to California, they married in late 2013, cementing their long and unique relationship together permanently.
