So for school we just finished our pants assignment, where we had to completely pattern and assemble a pair of pants from scratch. The main goal was to learn how to use a patterning program called Optitex, but I prefer flat patterning and regular draping to be honest. Regardless, here are my pants :P
My inspiration was a weird mixture of 50's pin-up, dark mori, and strega fashions. They were going to be shorter but I ran out of time to make adjustments so here's the final result :)
It's hard to see because the fabric is so dark but they do have regular side jean pockets as well as back pockets, and the garters have a button on the hem of each strap.

I tried lectra and it's all right, gets the job done, but the UI is kinda fussy sometimes, as in: you should definitely memorize the keyboard shortcuts. I used it to draft some simple things and it's also connected to our digitizer and plotter, it was pretty fun digitizing things though!
As for accumark, I talked with someone that knew one of my professors and tried the program for a few days, it was a little bit better. I think after all that I'd rather physically draft/pattern/drape something and then maybe digitize it if I ever need to use the computer for stuffs.
Though, If I had to grade something, I wouldnt mind using the computer for that :p, since using grade tables can automatically size things up for you once you set it up in lectra (almost)
