Yellow dragons live in the sky, lounging upon beads made of cloud they are most commonly seen in the skies over deserts, or tundra.
Considered the most peaceful of dragons, they also tend to live in mountain top villages alongside NPCs.
Yellow dragon eggs are often left in the care of other creatures. Given to players or NPCs who raise them as pets, given to white dragons who all share a strong friendship with yellow dragons, or given to griffins who are also friendly with yellow dragons.
Yellow dragons are the easiest to tame, and players often take them as pets.
Hatchling (lvl 0): Little more than a ball of fluff, yellow hatchlings are the favored pet of most NPCs and players. A yellow dragons heart creates electricity, enabling yellow hatchlings to build up a statick charge, which allows then to stick to things, and deliver a small static shock.
Whelp (lvl 1/2): Playful and energetic, yellow whelps spend most of their time running around, and playfully attacking anything that moves. Their static charge allows them to generate a small degree of lift, enabling them to hover short distances. They can also deliver painful static shock attacks if threatened.
Young (lvl 5): Now medium size, young yellow dragons can now generate enough lift to enable them to fly. Their horns also begin to curve, allowing them to create lightning bolts by running a strong electrical current between them.
Adolescent (lvl 10): Introspective and philosophical, most adolescent yellow dragons start to adopt a life of meditation and philosophy. Seeking tranquility and inner peace, they often become monks serving in NPC monasteries as temple guardians, or scholars.
Adult (lvl 15): Having mastered inner peace, adult yellow dragons are a wellspring of knowledge, and spiritual guidance. Adult yellows that live in villages act as gurus or quest givers for players. All adult yellow dragons offer their knowledge freely to anyone who is polite, and willing to listen.
It is rare for an adult yellow dragon to become angry, but when they do they can unleash a storm of lighting bolts from their horns at will, and have a thunderous roar that can knock opponents prone.
Out of combat yellow dragons also have an odd tendency to randomly paw at anything that passes within reach. More than once has a passing monk's bald head been given a sudden 'wap wap wap' after passing too close to the temple master.
Adult yellow dragons also come off as incredibly lazy, often seen taking long naps on clouds, or randomly falling asleep wile talking to adventures.
they also give little effort to flying, simply tucking their paws in, and loafing around the air aimlessly.
Ancient (lvl 20): There is no known ancient yellow dragon that exists in the wold.

Suppose everyone in that world is lucky they only really have the mellow half of cat-ness, if something that large, and that powerful was in possession of the other half of cat-ishness, the world would be doomed. Giant fluff-dragons tearing around the towns and countryside for no apparent reason, 'attacking' anything that moved, and raising an unholy noise anytime someone was trying to sleep... nightmare indeed.
