Best guess would be microfibers and possibly creating a slight difference in pressure inside the mask vs outside for a more secure fit.

Comic logic, don't think too much about it. There are several things that would be difficult as an anthropomorphic animal. Clothing and long tails, how glasses would fit on muzzles, how to wear headphones without them falling off, wearing shoes .. stuff like that. ^^
Just enjoy the story :)

Frankly clothing and tails always seemed straightforward to me for when it comes to pants. It would be like the fly on the front of some pants, just no zipper. Pull pants up, slip the button through the hole and now its seated around your tail.

In "Concession," pants did occasionally appear in close up from the back - a little fly that fits over the tail. I don't think anyone's come up with a better solution than that. FURGONOMICS.

Long tails aren't the issue; clothing as a whole would be.

I'm naturally hairy, point of ridicule all my life, and putting on clothes like trousers and shirts? pulls at that hair. imagine trying to pull on those clothes with a full body layer of the stuff; it's bunch up and pull n urgh x3 yay for fantasy
