I have this strange "gut feeling" that anyone using any kind of Frost / ice / cold weapon or spell on him will receive his UNDIVIDED ATTENTION with that big "Lava-Hardened meteoric Iron / obsidian Axe ( with inlays of Nickle and Silver for affecting "supernatural opponents" )

Hahaha, yes :b (although in the Endless Realm system, fire is strong against ice, but weak against water) *chuckles* Enjoyed your detailed weapon descriptor, haha. It started off as a plain metal-and-wood bardiche-type weapon, but I thought it was really boring and redesigned it to have more character :) Glad it worked!

well sir, in my mind, considering the design of the monster, and the implied "importance" of his role in the status tree of the infernal realms, I don't honestly see him / it being in possession of anything less then a specifically made weapon for his type. If he's a unique sort of monster I.E. one of a kind .... which I don't think he is.. but more likely only one of a specific number.. thus much greater power and far higher status, then that alone tells me that he's not going to have a run of the mill weapon.

It also fits into my head that it would be something forged from a rare resource.. "Metoric Iron" for example, that is made in specific areas by creatures who deleberately use this rare material for certain types of weapons and other uses under the direct command of a supremely powerful supernatural being that qualifies as a major entity in the infernal realms.
AND given that the pit overlord is likely a general of sorts, then it's got to hold its position with a combination of power and capability; this also includes a really good bit of fear, and if it possesses a weapon that can get around a heck of a lot of supernatural reisstances to injury from various types of things ( such as can resist weapons made of steel, but not "forged of iron" or silver or what have you), then the pit overlord ( being a greedy and covetious creature) will hold onto his position that much more tightly by the fact of the weight of responsibility given to it by it's supreme commander and the "Delight" it has for inflicting pain and suffering on those under it's command.. The weapon "type" helps enforce that fear and obeidence because the underlings know in "it's" hands, the bladed device can cause massive damage as it can penetrate defense and affect numerous types of creatures, including spirits and magical monsters as well as undead and so fourth..

*nods* That's kind of why I ended up redesigning the weapon - just felt wrong to have this guy using a run-of-the-mill, mundane weapon regularly used by mortals (how embarrassing would that be in front of his would-be minions? :V)

Thanks a lot! He was a bit of a challenge - struggled with him at first, was unsatisfied and redrew half of him before going on to finish him up properly. Demons have a lot of pesky details to them >_O Anyway, glad you like him!

Yeah, after you mentioned it, I did think the central spike/horn going back from the middle of his head sort of looks like Diablo's soulstone :b
