Fallen leaves, cool breeze,
laughter from far away.
holding hands, soft comforting hugs
none of it comes my way.

lonely nights, frightful nights
fears constricting me.
cries of pain, cries of shame
darkness is all I see.

Years pass, pain deepens
there is no one for me.
abandoned, left to die.
the pain won't let me be.

Older now, pain is numb.
longing is still there.
Stars bright, cool night.
I sit and I wonder.

Do they remember me.
Do they miss me.
Why didn't they want me.
Why doesn't anyone.

eyes close, tears fall.
shadows engulf me.
take my pain, take my shame.
and just let me be.

Cursed I am, unloved by them.
I've accepted my fate.
