I LOVED Roller Derby in the late 1970s and early 1980s when Chick Hearn was the announcer for the LA T-birds. I couldn't help but smile when I saw this image because I first got the impression the young lady might have been an amputee who had overcome her problems and got herself back on the track, and was able to use her shortcomings to an advantage. However, she could have simply taped up her arms, as far as I can see. Anyway, I've heard recently that Lady's Rollersport is making a sort of comeback.
