Personally, I was disappointed with the song (not the video) when I heard it. The first time I'd heard of it was in a Weird Al polka medley and I was expecting something a little more energetic (not as energetic as Weird Al, of course, but still, more that that).

I first heard Black Hole Sun, as a Bob River's parody, Ass--le Son, about having a Slacker in the Family. Black Hole Sun is an interesting son, but not quite my cup of coffee. The tune I was thinking of as I drew this picture was Art Kassel's Hell's Bells. It's on You Tube, give it a listen.

half a year after Fukushima I stood on top of Tokyo Tower watching the sun go down behind pillars of concrete, steel and flesh, while listening to the Akira soundtrack. I don't necessarily welcome the crumbling of civilisation, but I think I'd appreciate it.

Thanks, glad you like it. Actually, its brush, India ink, and black crayon. I was thinking a bout the caption for this drawing- I should've used "Rejoice" instead of "Delight". Sigh...
