Well...during one of the four seven-hour long work meetings, I wasn't very participatory either and was busy drawing the last submission and this one. This is of my new dinosaur character, Ajax Apatosaur.
I named him following the standard cartoon rules of character naming; that there must be alliteration between the first and last names. Andy, Allen and Andrew just didn't have a ring to them...then I came up with Ajax. Mostly as a play on words, as the picture I've been working on has a bit of A-jax-ulation goin' on in it...
Now, we used to call 'em Brontosaurs when I was a kid...and The Flintstones ate Brontosaurus Burgers in the cartoons...so I looked up Apatosaur to see why that name change occurred...and I couldn't believe my eyes: the Genus and Type Species name of this dinosaur is Apatosaurus Ajax!!!
So I guess I picked the right name for him!

The League of Unspecified Furs has been trying to find that out for over a year now! The best answer we've yet uncovered - and not a very good answer at that - is that apple means "deer". Go figure.
