So, the Wolf Queen is a character from a once-popular but now forgotten legend?
Very convenient, taking the whole Sapience debate as read, and automatically treating automata as people rather than equipment. I dunno, I think Vulpitania has a pretty strong argument in claiming Tikki-Tick as property since she is a machine, paid for and made to order, and her packing case had the Republic's seal all over it.
Naturally the Empire will want to legislate the making of such complex devices which, at first glance, can pass for a living elf.
These tail-monsters could be a bit of a problem. Especially if there's more than one of them.
(One wonders whether Cpl. Winterbough recognized Tikki-Tick upon seeing her again, in company with the Marshal and Duke Adler, at the inn on the Persoc Tor road, on the first day of Winter...)
