Gill Grunt and Fryno seemed really upset about Hornscale, Grim Creeper refuses to give his family a chance mainly because of Gill himself.

Hornscale says Grim won't listen to him about the facts that there were not many babies around, but Grim Creeper refuses to let Hornscale's baby sister Glacier Belle play with his son Cyprien, and he also won't listen to him about Blue Burn already given up on romancing Whisper when he failed to do so and about Whisper once helped Gill Grunt give birth to Glacier Belle either. Hornscale also said that Grim Creeper won't forgive his mother Gill Grunt either, which totally hurts his feelings.

So there is Gill Grunt comforting Hornscale while he was crying on his bed.
