Some things you just don't notice that much until you're a small hyperactive bushy-tailed thing.
Also, this the comic name change better reflects the comic as it is now; I'd planned on the main comic being named Daily Life in Val Salia based on the original concept for the comic, but over the last year while drawing the prologue, some aspects of the story shifted around a bit, and I feel the new title just suits it better now. If you disagree, please message me so we can arrange for a pistol duel to the death to determine its legacy.

Excellent; conveying the experience of a change like this is one of my major goals in this comic!
And as for how they speak; why don't you Ask the Average Yinglet? http://www.furaffinity.net/view/14957646/

I love this sort of insight into Kass's new life. It's what I fell in love with with movies like Brother Bear. I always want to observe what the transformee goes through and how they handle it from their perspective. You managed to turn something as simple as a tail wagging into something very interesting and unique. And if I do say so myself, very very adorable. X3
Yeah, with just about any TF scenario, there's a ton of details that are often unmentioned! Even the smallest changes can alter the experience of one's life in enormous ways, from changes to their daily lives to altering one's perspectives and self-perception. So if you like that part, you're really going to enjoy what I've got planned!
I agree; The Out of Placers is a decent enough title, as it describes the sort of characters involved in the story, but takes a bit of reading before the meaning becomes obvious, and I came up with it when the comic concept was less focused on Kass. But since then, I've definitely turned Kass into the anchor that ties everything together, and the yinglets are definitely a major part of the storyline going forward from here. Plus, I kinda needed a title that would grab someone seeing it for the first time, giving them a bit of an idea of what's in store if they decide to click the link, so that's basically what influenced the decision.
This does often result of them being flung a few dozen feet away however, as they are very light, and that long tooth can be difficult to detach once the victim reflexively throws the bitten limb around.
...Not that this ever stops a yinglet from doing just that, as that would require some forethought.

New to the comics, and liking what I see. Also fun reading your comments under the comic, reminds me of the phrase, "bright-eyed and bushy-tailed" =)
That being said, another amusing thing would be seeing Elim get in on the transforming fun. Would be a great way to see them bond because it seems (and I haven't read ahead yet so I might be wrong, but...) it looks like they are growing apart in this scene here. Elim is trying to be a good friend, but he doesn't understand what Kassen, and (he looks like he) feels awkward around Kassen.
Again, great comic, will be reading more =D

Kass is learning...
BTW. I have printed out dead tree copies of all the strips to date, both this one and the main fanfic spinoffs. It is unlikely that something that had grown this big will go 404, but I have seen it happen to other strips I liked in the old days (particularly Outrim and Not Wild Just Crazy).
