I was just not happy with the linework on the previous one
Inside of the Kanein Empire is the Ja'kiu Trinity. This small isolated nation within the expanse of the Empire is home to the surviving Ja'kiu. Unlike the largely secular population of the Empire the Ja'kiu are for the most part theocratic and revered of their patriarchal prophet The Pharen (The fruit of God).
Since the signing of the Treaty of Lecarus that ended the ancient bloody slave revolt and lead to the forging of the Empire, the Pharen has been barred from holding any political power within his border, however it is widely believed he still holds overwhelming influence within the Ja'kiu parliament and thus rules through clandestine means.
The Disciples are a collection of highly fevered, obedient military veterans that serve as the security detail for the Pharen as well as any official Ja'kiu government officials; ambassadors, councilors, ministry officials. Their long ear lobes, tail and other organs not directly required for servitude are removed. They do not talk outside of their comm. system (Using a system of clicking noises to interact with one another) and their only interaction with the civilian population is generally violent with no vocal interaction. The lack of vocal abilities is due to the Nasogastric intubation tubing. Their normally short silky black fur has fallen out due to the large batch of narcotics and amphetamines constantly transfused into their bodies. The NG tube helps alleviate gastric issues caused by the narcotics as well as provide a path for nourishment and an colostomy bag provides a stopping point. They rarely remove their helmets much less remove the suit.
The average disciple only lives a few years after their indoctrination and normally given the bare minimum of palliative care prior to passing away from the enormous abuse their bodies are subjected too. The oldest living disciple lived to the ages of 43 after being indoctrinated at the age of 31. The average Kanein lives from late 90s to early 100s by comparison. The whole point of this cocktail is to provide a combat unit that feels little to no pain but is able to remain coherent and alert. During the Jakiu Republics dissolution by order of Emperor Tarlos, several of these units where witnessed in combat repeatedly taking round after round. Anti tank ordinance was used in the early stages of the war to better effect than standard anti-personal means.
The armor is not powered by any means other than a small cooling system to keep the user cool. The suit itself is 250lbs of Kevlar overlay with a large ceramic trauma plate over the front of the torso. Mobility is adequate through physical strength and training. The helmet contains 10 high resolution cameras that allow the user 360 degrees of view as well as protection from small arms and NBC containment. The Disciple is armed with either a Klarsi 8mm Heavy Machine gun or a DREP 8 gauge scattergun.
