The 
blenderfurs group is looking for a new icon, so I figured I'd give it a try to make one. Whipped this up, although I did want something more elaborate.
The glow was a last minute addition, and I fear it it too overpowering, even though I decreased the power.
Ironically, I did not model this in Blender. I only rendered and composited in Blender. That's my usual work path to be honest.
I model in another program because that program is still easier and faster for me. I also do the UV maps in that program. But I do everything else in Blender.
I may revisit this, as I wanted something else. I wanted a full hand modeled. As I'm writing this, I actually have an awesome idea I want to try, but alas it'll have to wait.
As usual, don't steal, copy, edit, etc.
If you want something, just ask.
I would hope you know the deal by now.
