i doubt im going to actually be able to get this guy. they usually go for over 200 which is my limit because thats what has been budgeted for suit materials. ive got bazillions of bits of fur, but none of them quite big enough for what i want to do... *angry huffs* its so frustrating sometimes trying to work with this stoof
if you decide to start with a sewing machine, i would recommend a singer machine and a lot of patience or your going to break the machine and mess up seams..... -whistles innocently- but it is a really fun experience and totally worth doing. foam is easier to cut and shape, but something like a plastic mesh leaves open air space for things like batteries and such to power fans and lights and speakers and things
Haha, I could imagine that xD But it's fine, I'm getting help by someone who's got experiance making cloths and using a sewing machine so I'm in a good spot :) And I could imagine that it's a fun thing to do, that's why I'm making my very first fursuit ever myself x3
it is so satisfying to actually make your first suit. to watch as it comes together and the sense of accomplishment once its finished are things that just cant be replicated or replaced.
my first head looks good from a distance but looks like crap once you get up close and inspect it, but im still proud of it. being that the entire suit was slapped together in a matter of 8 hours the night before an anime convention, its a surprise that everything is still in one piece 10 months and heavy use later
