Oh my! Beautiful!

Wonderful picture. And yet another good chapter. I hope you'll write that epilogue.

I like both the stories as well as your version of the mechanics of Equestria so to speak. It makes it a believable society rather than just some "cardboard wings" and fake shop fronts as it can sometimes seem in the series.

I hope we'll also learn more about changeling society. How do the hives look inside (we got just a glimpse)? How does the average non-harvester changeling spend its life? Since there are queens, there must also be males. I would assume, that it would be a bit like some insects; but does that mean, that the males are short-lived, mindless sperm injectors that dies off once they've fulfilled their biological purpose, or are they perhaps a prince consort-harem for the queens?

While I haven't fully decided on the details, I visualize that there are a breeder class - fertile males and females whose sole task is breed and raise more changeling drones. Only the queen can breed more fertile changelings though. A fertile male may be chosen by the queen to produce more as required. The equivalent of royal jelly is used to create a new queen when needed.

"The things I do for the hive" (gets back on the sheets)

Hm...story idea: a breeder changeling who decides (s)he won't "just be a baby machine" and sets out to live a normal life among the ponies. Some explanation might be required as to why (s)he deviates from his/her "programming". Or maybe a visiting pony (Peach?) asks them if they never thought they could be more than they are. The breeders stop and think, and a revolution has begun! (Not necessarily a violent one)

This might be the first changeling I see, who doesn't look like having a moth problem (lots of holes).

If she was fully transformed, the holes would show, but I admit that it's nice to see her without them.

Very lovely art, though I wonder why so many fans are convinced Fleur is "really" a Changeling?

I knew she was too perfect!
