Love it love it luuve it! And how you worded it all just really flows. It makes me think of Sin City especially with the city shot. Though I'm sure you're thinking more in terms of Darkness with the feel of it, but hey. ^^ Either way, awesome as hell. <3

With such an opening, I was expecting something along the lines of:

(hero)
"My city, she calls for me. She is my mother, my lover, by sister, my daughter, my third cousin twice removed...

(sidekick)
"Brother, have you got issues.

Considering that DW was inspired partly by The Spirit, (The outfit is a dead giveaway) You might as well mangle one of his lines while you're having fun.

That first trailer for the Spirit movie was a bit creepy, but I'm actually looking forward to it. Eisner's Spirit stories are pretty good considering its from sixty years ago. Plus DARKWING DUCK! As a kid, I knew he was supposed to be a parody of someone, but I never could guess. The closest guess I got was Batman.
