I hate writing in these descriptions. Can never think of anything good to go with some of these more deep pieces because I can't write anywhere near what I use to.

Had a random spike of inspiration and this was the result. Irene keeping herself up on a long spear after finishing a conflict with another gryphon that would be drawn in the background, bloodied and mangled. Did my best on expressing her sadness for having to slay one of her own kind, taking a moment to bow her head to ask the stars for forgiveness of what she has done. Something like that.

Rough sketch that took me about 15 minutes to throw down with a little extra time to clean up some edges, but not much. I know things are out of proportion, but it's hard drawing a quadruped in such a pose holding a spear for the first time. Really want to go back to it and make it better and probably fill in the background that I want there, but knowing me it probably won't happen. Sad...
