The 7.62x54R you see in the picture is Czechoslovakian steel core light ball. With a weight of 148gr and a spitzer boat tail design, it's pretty good. What you're using is more for the machine guns. Not saying you can't/shouldn't fire it through your rifle, but it'll wear down your barrel faster than if you fired the light ball stuff.
