Background detail from upcoming page of SF. I needed to give Colby a comic to read, and well... InFamous is just the kind of thing Lothar would "prescribe".
It's just a mockup, so I made an rough outline from the original and added details to the sketch on my own. I learned a lot from studying the original (that cool lighting effect, for example) and had quite a bit of fun, short as it was (some three and half hours, clean work time). Something between "color the lines" and "connect the dots", I'd say.
Cole would make an excellent honey badger. A, it's the only species with an actual peach fuzz on their heads that has the decency to call it style, and B, if they could speak, they would also sound like they're snorting gravel for breakfast. Also C, one of the species that doesn't look that stupid when pouting angrily.

... crap, now I want to go and play InFamous 2 all over again @..@

This is really well done. I've seen many artists try to do lightning/shock effects and end up making it look cartoony and tacked on. The lighting cast on the character really helps emphasis that the electricity is there and not just a decal. The arcing from the finger tips also looks really convincing to me, since it follows a jacob's ladder-looking curve instead of just radial 'lightning bolts'
Also, since its necessary: badger badger badger badger :3
