<Jody picks up the mic again> All right, now it's time for our next battle. <He turns over a cue card> This round's opponents are Selena Parcs... <He looks to her>
<Reji> Looks like Selena is up.
<Saul> About time.
<Selena> *quietly pads to the ring, slipping her jacket off and tossing it to the side.*
<Nubia walks in, stretching and keeping a fixated eye on Selena>
: <Fitz> Oho, I think I'm gonna like this match.
<Amelia yells out> Gooo Selena!
*Rene walks into the arena, reigned to once again watching two girls he considered friends try to kill one another. Happy day*
<Jody> ...and Nubia Eon. <Looks to Nubia next>
: <Jonas> Wooo go get her snowflake!
*Rene walks into the arena, reigned to once again watching two girls he considered friends try to kill one another. Happy day*

*Rene trudges up and takes a seat in the bleachers, near the Jackpotters.* Lemme know when its over, guys. *Covers his eyes ahead of time*
<Nubia stands quitely, her body rings glow in pulses.>
<Jody> First things first; shake hands, please.
<Nubia offers her paw>
*Maxie slips off to go get himself a drink and some popcorn, as well as some for the team*
<Selena> *accepts the offered hand, she actually looks. . .apologetic.*
<Nubia excepts the hand with a very firm grip>
<Skylar quickly dashes into the arena, making her way over to Gavin who was watching the Jonas and Pip battle, though nobody noticed him for some odd reason>
<Jody> All right; fighters, ready?
<Selena> After this, we talk, yes? *she lets go of Nubia's hand and nods to the ref.*
<Nubia steps back and nods to the ref>
Rene: *His ears twitch at the sudden noise, he uncovers his eyes* Oh! Hey Skylar.
: *Fitz sits on back to watch with his usual pair of red dice in one hand, rolling them in his palm in a zen-like manner.
<Reji takes in a deep breath and tenses a bit as he watches>
<Nubia flexes her paws as she waits for the start call>
<Skylar> *waves at Rene* Oh hey. Sorry I'm late, was on the phone with my mom and kind of lost track of time, how'd it go? <Gavin> 'e won, got beat ta hell an' back though.
<Jody> All right; fighters are ready! <He blows his whistle> Begin!
Rene: I just got in myself Sky....oh boy this isn't gonna be good.
<Nubia fires off a shadow ball and follows behind it with a quick attack rush>
*Selena's body glows with a mirrior shine as tosses up a ball of light blue energy. As hail begins to descend over the ring, the glaceon takes the shadow ball hit, but energy is reflected back at Nubia with twice its power.*
<Kai> ...Damn, Selena.
<Amelia leans back in her seat and continues to watch>
<Nubia covers her upper body with both forearms as she excepts the hit but allows her momentium from her quick attack to send her into a leg forward slide right into Selena's right ankle.?
<Skylar> Dammit, I forgot my coat, can I borrow yours? <Gavin> What? 'ell no... not like ya can wear it anyway with those razor blades on ye're back...
Rene: *Offers Skylar a tail or two* Want one? *Looks at the fight, then the audience* ...I take it no one is supporting Nubia here
<Reji leans back and makes sure he doesn't affect the hail in anyway and keeps his influence dead>
<Amelia> I hope she kicks her ass, otherwise I'll be taking care of an injured room mate. :<
<Skylar> Nah I'm kidding. *glances down* These always poke out anyway, you should know that by now. I don't really know Nubia, but Selena likes running around naked, so points for her.
<Reji looks to Amelia> I share your pain. <Wait...was that a joke?>
<Amelia> Heh, indeed.
Rene: Oh. Okay, Sky. *Lets his tails go* I like Selena too....not just for that mind you, but....Nubia's a friend too. And I know where she's coming from with this, even if I don't agree with how she's handling it. What should I do?
<Skylar> Dunno, I really don't know anything about it, been kind of distracted by my own family fun.
: <Jonas> You can just pile all us broken roomies in a pile.
Rene: Oh? Sorry Sky. Same here....only mine actually HAS been fun. My mom's awake and divorced my dad, both good news for me. But what's going on with you bigbird?

*Selena manages to barely evade the quick attack, using the hail storm as cover. In honesty, she doesn't want to prolong this match, ->
but doesn't want to waste energy either. Her eyes glow dark blue as she summons a sphere of water and shoots it at Nubia.*
<Gavin looks over towards Jonas and gives a small grin and salute>
<Kai> Nice one, Selena!
Rene: ...What?! Oh Sky, I'm sorry....*puts a hand on her shoulder* How're you holding up?
<Saul> C'mon sis! Take her down!
: <Jonas gives a salute right back to Gavin, before responding to Amelia> Do ye do sponge baths and other nursely things?
<Nubia uses her paws to stop her slide and spins around with her hands together summoning and releasing another Shadow ball at the Water sphere>
<Skylar> Are you kidding? You've met my dad, how do you think?
<Amelia grins> Shots and everything, hope you like needles. >D
Rene: ....*Point taken, but feels imprudent to say so* So you're moving in with your mom? I mean, when you're not at school? She has custody?
<Skylar> That's what they're fighting over. I'm trying to stay out of it.
: <Jonas grins and leans over tugging his pants teasingly> You just wanna see me arse.
Rene: ...So what caused them to split in the first place, if you don't mind my asking?
<Selena> *winces as the two attacks collide and explode, the force pushing her back a bit. Unfazed by the biting hail, her body shimmers and then splits into multiple images, each one firing a beam of ice at Nubia.*
<Amelia laughs> Of course, exactly what I was getting at. </sarcasm>
<Skylar> My mom got tired of his crap, he got tired of my mom not taking his crap.
<Nubia still down on one knee exhauls and releases a Dark Pulse that sweeps over the battle field>
<Kai> ...Wow, Multiple Selenas. Heh.
Rene: ....Oh. *Puts an arm gingerly around her shoulders* You gonna be okay?
<Reji> Interesting. Both are going back and forth and, umm, fighting ranged for now.
<Skylar> Oh I'm fine, just trying to stay out of it.
Rene: Well if you ever need someone to talk to....*sidewise hug*
<Skylar> Yeah I know, thanks. But really, I'm about as relaxed as I've been in a while.
Rene: ....So all those times you were going to parties, acting crazy and getting naked....that was you while you were TENSE? 0_o; *Sweats as he thinks about Skylar when she's 'relaxed'*
<Skylar> *rolls her eyes* No I mean while I was on summer break and when I got back.
: <Jonas> Range has never been me thing. Glad tae know she's got it covered.
Rene: OH....that's a relief. Good to have you all relaxed and stuff. *Hugs her, banging his head against her steel shoulder* ...ow
*Selena's doubles all vanish under the assault and Selena herself as forced back even farther. Her eyes, nay, her entire body glowing a dark blue. Arctic winds whip up and soon a full blizzard starts, visciously assaulting Nubia.*
<Skylar> Yeah, watch that...
<Kai> Yeah, Counter!
Rene: *Rubbing his head, watching the match* Geez....this is gonna be brutal
<Saul> *winces* Damn. . .
<Jody watches quietly, twirling the whistle in his hand>
<Skylar> Yeah ranged fighting not really my thing either. More the up close and personal type.
<Amelia yells and throws up her fist> Mess her up!
<Nubia crotches down on the ground as the wind blows hard. Using her all four stances and digging her claws for grip, she launches her body foward again in a quick attack, ---->
closing the distance and begins punching with Faint Attacks to the body.
Rene: Um *trying to be supportive* Go Nubia! Get those negative feelings out!
Rene: Go Selena! ....Um, don't let her get those negative feelings upside your head!
Rene: .....I have no clue what I'm saying anymore.
: <Jonas> C'mon snowflake, tear her up girl!
<Gavin> Aye, I gave up tryin' to understand it a while ago...
Rene: ....Thanks Gavin. That's just what I needed.
*Selena grimaces as she takes multiple punches but manages to snag the umbreon's arm and fire an ice beam at point blank.*
<Kai> ...Oooh, that's gotta hurt.
: <Fitz> *lets a die drop to his feet* ...odds are not in Lady Moonlight...
: ('s favor)
<Nubia yelps, as she turns away, clawing at the ice on the fire of her face. Freeing her eyes she turns and makes eye contact with Selena, their red glowing with Confusion.>
<Kai> Ah, crap
Rene: C'mon Nubia! C'mon Selena! Go put my therapist's kids through college! Go!
<Saul> Rene, mind some tact?
Rene: What?
*And soon Rene is accompanied by a saddened Krissy* It's like watch a trainwreck...you just can't help but to watch...
Rene: Hey Krissy. What's gotten you so blue too? *Gives her a hug*
: <Cinny.. she's there with Saul, sure> KICK HER BUTT, WEIRDO!!
Rene: Cinny? *Looks at the Flareon*
<Selena> *body glows with a familiar shine as she takes the confusion, energy once more reflected back at Nubia with doubled strength. The force of the attack forcing the glaceon back and to a knee.*
*Krissy hugs back* It's that little scuff with Pip and Jonas...*
<Kai> ...Wow, she's goot at the move.
<Saul> Rene, just because you want to be friends with everyone, doesn't mean everyone wants to be friends with each other.
: <Cinny stuffs some popcorn in her mouth and looks at Rene> Yeff?
Rene: Awww, sorry Krissy. You doing okay? *Looks at Saul* Doesn't' mean I can't say what I think though

<Skylar> It's just a battle, not like it's a deathmatch or anything.
Rene: Sky, they're not fighting each other for school, for grades, or even just to get it out of their systems. They're just mad. Fighting when you're mad is about the dumbest thing you could do

Rene: It never does though. That's the problem. *To Krissy* What DID start it? Jonas' saying something about Suni that got Pip's dander up, wasn't it?
*Krissy sniffs and simply nods*
Rene: I feel the same way....Nubia is just upset that her brother tried to kill himself after Selena forgot about Coal's attempt at a date....and this is how Nubia handles her emotions
<Saul> Selena didn't forget.
<Skylar> Well if it works for her, let her. Not everyone can solve their problems with hugs you know.
Rene: She didn't? What DID happen Saul?
<Saul> A mixture of lack of contact and another guy happened.
<Nubia Again yelps at the headach caused by the back lash. Down on both knees she curls herself with eyes closed and paws together. The arena grows dark and moonlight shines down upon her.>
Rene: *Winces* Still....it's not Selena's fault what Coal did, but I think Nubia's earned the right to be a little upset over recent events
<Jody looks forward; is she out?>
: <Cinny gulps.. and burps> Yeah Rene?
<Saul> She's upset because opted not hurt Coal more by being around him after she turned him down.
*Selena opted
Rene: ...Nice belch. Um, who were you calling weirdo?
: *Fitz nibbles on his own popcorn. Wait, when did he even leave his seat to get it? Oh well, not like anyone was paying attention, anyway.
*Kai is quiet during this conversation- not his place to say anything.
: <Cinny points at Selena> Selena. She's a weirdo.
<Nubia on all fours turns and releases a deep growl>
: <Jonas is kinda asleep, propped up against Amelia> Zzzzz..
Rene: Nubia took that as a slight that she didn't even visit or send Coal a card. And it's not that hard to see it that way
<Saul> Yes, well from the looks of it, Nubia seems to take everything as a slight.
Rene: Some people are like that.
Rene: *Looks at Cinny again* Ah. Just checking. How've you been squirt?
<Amelia just lets him sleep, since he was tired an all. She continues to watch the fight.>
: <Cinny wiggles her foot at Rene> Got my leg all de-castified.
*As the hail storm starts to fade, Selena once more sends an orb of energy up, summoning another hail storm. ->
Once more, her body glows in a dark blue light as the hail falls around her, another blizzard summoned up to assault Nubia.*
<Kai> Congrats, Cinny! Keep the Cast?
<Saul> She nearly broke my arm because that crazy doctor tried to scare her with the saw. . .
<Nubia rushes again into a quick attack to close the distance and this time focuses a Faint Attack on Selena's knee>
: <Cinny> Dude.. it was a giant evil saw of death!
Rene: Congratulations Cinny! *Gives her a hug*
Rene: Glad to see your leg without it
(REPOST)<Nubia fights the winds of the blizzard as snow cakes on her fur. She rushes into a quick attack to close the distance and this time focuses a Faint Attack on Selena's Knee>
: <Cinny hugs Rene back n' offers him some popcorn> Yeah I'm just happy to be moving around again without wheels.
<Saul> giant saw? It looked like one of those mini hand held sanders.
Rene: *Munches some popcorn* I'm sure my mom will feel the same when she gets out of her wheelchair. Meg too, for that matter
: <Cinny> It sounded scary tho.. shut up.. *elbows Saul*
<Saul> Ow!
Rene: *Giggles and looks at Saul* Isn't she a pistol?
<Saul> Right proper firecracker.
Rene: ....I have no idea what we just said. Do you, Saul?

Rene: Good enough for me! *Musses her hair*
*Kai Snerk* "All Hail Queen Cinny, yes."
<Reji continues to watch on, leaning forward and hoping for the best for Selena>
*Krissy manages a giggle at that despite her dampened mood*
Rene: Here she is....Queen Spiky Hair! *Gives Cinny a noogie
<Selena> *gives out a yell of pain as her knee is hit. She drops down to one knee, wincing slightly. Still, the fight hasn't left her. She lunges forward with a quick->
attack, forming a sphere of water that quickly starts to freeze due to the cold air around the females. With a grunt, she slams the ice/water pulse sphere towards Nubia's chest.*
: <Cinny flails> Aaah! No no nooogies! I can't see the fight!
Rene: Sorry, Cinny. *Let's go* Wish I wasn't. Wish no one was, because that'd mean that there was no fight to see
<Kai. Gah! Selena!
<Skylar> Ow, hits like that make me glad I've got the armor...
<Nubia winces and is sent flying back again. Holding her chest on both knees and face on the ground, she closes her eyes agan, and blows from the Moon's healing light.>
<Krissy> Oi...no wonder Fui's so scared of that one!
Rene: Which one Kirissy?
<Hands and knees on the ground, head down,Nubia beings to laugh>
Rene: .....That can't be good
*Krissy points to Nubia* Her. And doesn't she have a girlfriend that's like her?
Rene: Yes, Noctali. Actually, I met them both. They're kinda nice....but Noctali's even more....um, what's the word?

Rene: They aren't crazy....but Noctali is very cold. I mean, can out-cold ice-types cold. Like Gweneth Li or Methelza cold. If cuter looking.

*Selena doesn't react to the laugh, her body glowing as she summons up another Blizzard. This time using the raging snow and wind as cover, chaining together a quick attack, double team and ice beam*
Rene: Licorice? Naaaah. She's sweet! Honestly, Nubia's not that bad, and neither are all umbreons. Or even most of 'em. Noctali loves the rep they have though. But they're still okay in my book
<Krissy> Oh heavens no Cinny! I rather like her company!
<Nubia concentrates all her rage into a consentrated Dark Pulse< Raaaaaagh!
Rene: Nubia's a bit more....emotionally troubled than Licorice. And less fond of hugs. But she hasn't ripped my arms off and beaten me with them, so don't go believeing everything you hear about her either.
Rene: *Wtching the match* Of course, pissing her off still isn't smart

<Nubia freezes in the spot she has released her energey>
Rene: I do....a little. *Looks at Kai* You'd try to talk to Tenebra on the island, but you haven't tried to know Nubia? Of the two, Nubia is much more sociable and nice and, well,....calm. Relatively speaking

<Jody comes up and checks on Nubia; finding her frozen, he has one choice to make> Fighter Nubia is unable to continue; battle goes to Selena!

<Krissy> Evil my fluffy tail!

<Reji winces> Never good to see it end like that. But at least she won.
Rene: *Makes devil horns behind Cinny's head*

<Jody's quick to pull out a Freeze Heal to thaw her out, which takes effect quickly>
<Krissy> You're as evil as Fui is truly innocent, and if you truly know him...

<Other medics come otu to check up on Nubia to make sure she's okay as well as Selena>
<Nubia coughs>

Rene: *Looks at the match, frowning and giving a sigh* I'm gonna go check on Nubia. You guys keep a watch on the devil, here

*Selena collapses to one knee, wincing as she looks over to Nubia.* Nubia. . .
Rene: *Heading down the bleachers, over to the side of the ring, pausing before he enters, letting Selena handle this*
*Krissy winces as she watches Nubia* Oooh dear...what a heart-wrenching thing to see...
<Nubia curls into a ball with her hands over her head> No no no no no!
<Jody stands back, unsure of what to do>
Rene: ...Nubia? Are you hurt?
: <Cinny> Woah.. what's her damage?
<Kai> ...
<Saul> Probably a lot. She was trying to avenge her brother after all. Or something like that.
<Nubia> It's not fair. IT'S NOT FAIR!! I could have...I could have gotten out! Sniff...IT's not fair...
<Krissy> Let's say some...issues caused this fight to happen...
<Selena> I agree. I don't accept this victory.
Rene: *Looks startled at them* ...Can she do that?
<Reji heads down to the sidelines for now and waits on the edge of the arena for a moment>
<Nubia turns to Selena eyes full of tears> She's got to pay for what she did. She's gotta pay!
<Selena> Nubia. Would you listen to me for once?
<Nubia> What could you possibly say that could make up for what you did?
<Krissy> No wonder Fui keeps to himself...to stay out of stuff like this!

<Selena> First tell me what exactly I did? Or what I could have done after turning your brother down. Would you honestly preferred that I said nothing and continued to lead him on?
Rene: *Sitting back down in the front row bleachers* No....this is life
<Jody blows his whistle> That's quite enough. This is an official battle arena, not the place to settle personal disputes. If this is that big an issue, I'd advise you two to take it to a counselor.
<Skylar> She can, yeah, this is a little weird though...
Rene: *Looks at the ref* Jeeze, inensitive much? You can give them a few minutes

Rene: Give them a chance to fix it themselves.
<Nubia> You used him and when he got his hopes up you pretended like you didn't even know who he was.
<Jody> Again, I say, they may do as they wish, but not here. Other students are waiting to battle.
*Krissy sighs and puts her fingers on her forehead* Oh for fuck's sake...
: <Cinny> Guys.. the Ref makes tha rules. They gotta move.
<Jody says firmly> Now, please.
<Reji steps forward> Uhhh, he is faculty. We should probably,well, listen to faculty and move this off to the side.
<Skylar> Well they do have to clean all the snow off the arena floor...
: *Fitz...is gone? Strange, just as the faculty showed up, too...
<Selena> *Rubs her forehead.* Nubia, will you meet with me at lunch tomorrow?
<Nubia> I don't want anything to do with you. EVER! You've ruined enough as it is.
Rene: Nubia....what can it hurt just to hear her out?
<Nubia closes her eyes and puts her paws together, healing herself with the moon's light>
<Jody> Once more...please, to the side.
<Reji takes Selena's arm and tugs her off towards the side>
<Nubia growls at those surrounding her and slowly walks>.
<Selena> I'm sorry you feel that way. We have nothing to do with each other any more then. *she allows Reji to lead her off, using him as a support.*
Rene: Nubia....
<Jody> Thank you. Now then... <He goes into preparations for the next battle>
<Nubia> How can I feel any other way. You can't deny that's what you did.
< Nubia> You can't deny you even care. Even if you didn't go out with him, you didn't even show concern for him. ANy half decent mon would have done at least that!
<Selena> And cause him more pain?
<Nubia walking up to Selena, she being the shorter of the two, looking up at her> How about being decent. Even a Dark Type knows how to do that.
<Reji> Nubia...would you feel better if Selena went and apologized to Coal?
<Selena> Would it do any good now?
<Nubia> It's not in your cold heart for it to be real. I just hope you and your brother are happy and it was worth it. People may think I'm bad, but I've never played with someone's heart. <turns to walk away>
Rene: Nubia, she's trying to make amends....

Rene: *Looks up at Cinny* Nubia says that her brother Coal was...interested in you. And in her view, Selena pretended to like Coal to run interference for her brother, Saul, to get together with you. Afterwards, Selena abandons Coal
