i once had a friend with bet chickens, it was kind of cool. like before then i didn't know the birds many consider food were able to be so pretty! o.o
actually, i think that's about the time i started to prefer the meat that my grandfather hunted himself. and i prefer it because not a single part of the animal goes to waste at all, as opposed to what happens in the food industry. grand dad is very close to his native roots, though. it's kind of awesome. @.@

i'm glad she's ok! i'm curious, are pet birds trained like cats for a litterbox, or dogs with a doggie door? i've never owned a bird before of any kind.

They can be taught to hold it but it's bad for them, and I'm sure they can be litter trained, farm birds anyways, parrots just kinda do their thing unless you diaper them, this little hen isn't diapered in her bed because it's washed every day, and it's not good for her to sit in it all night. Chickens learn very quickly it takes them 1-3 days to learn a trick. My girl, Pepper who I have been talking about learned her name in two days and learn 'look up' in about eight minutes and 'come here' in about a day. She is blind in one eye so I try to train her to look different directions for her safety
