Top off the Lanbox looking down on the old motherboard. Not a bad computer setup but it was old already when I got it and it only booted up properly once. I was in bios and noticed the date was off by considerable amount so tried to reset it to current time.
And that was all she wrote, system locked up and I could never get it to boot again after replacing the cmos battery. From comments in various forums, the lanparty boards had a bad reputation for arriving DOA. Mine was apparently gasping it's last as I set it up and turned it on.

Yes, installed a AMD processor on it and it looked like it was going to give me good service. I could have tried buying the ancient ram modules that were supposed to have been designed for it but wasn't really worth it.
The system had top speed of only 2 gighertz on a good day.
Things get so old, it's often makes better sense to go with something new. At least I can yell on the phone at someone if it's having trouble.
