Been having a rough week or two with my personal life and was a considerably low and wanted to do something to get out of it. After listening to this amazing song from Pokemon ORAS: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GIn8_Q27WFY this picture's concept came along and really pushed myself to finish this one up. Basically the theme of the picture was "Ascent" or to rise from all the negative stuff that been going on.
I'm very happy with the style on this piece and found a new way to draw Karma in her normal form, really this was just completely figure out by me just experimenting a lot. I did get stuck on painting the fur on her since fur and me just don't exactly work well and despite looking up several tutorials and speedpaints, wasn't grasping it. Instead winged it and feel like it works well enough with the rest of the background. Really like how this picture came out overall and even though it took me nearly a week of on and off working, I got it to the point I'm happy with the results.
