.. Like a phoenix
He'll be okay. He knows what he's doing. Probably.
Ever since I saw firedancing happen, I've been fascinated by how the dancers
could handle fire without, y'know, igniting things that are not supposed to be on
fire, while dancing at the same time.
So in lieu of that thought, I put a slightly unique twist on the fire-dancing idea
and handed the whole thing to (read: commisioned)
Neko-Maya who
painted this!
I'm very fond of bright, lively colours like these. I'm also fascinated by how
much the styles of artists vary with the same subject. In Neko-Maya's style,
Wilson looks a lot younger than usual (which isn't a bad thing, mind you).
As usual, if this pleases your eye-spheres, you should give the
Original submission a favourite, and give the artist a watch c:

*I "accidentally" lost control of the fire* said Wilson. Why, Gina asked

Oh I love it <3 The whole pic is very expressive. Thumbs up to Neko-Maya. Her inerpretation of Wilson is great. He's so fluffy and three dimensional, not as flat as I drew him ;) The lightings and shadows are great and it looks realistic and plausible to me. It realy was worth its money.
It's a great thing to see your character in different styles. Every Wilson art we see shows us a new part of himself. The more he get drewn the more personality he gets. That's how characters develope :D
I'm looking forward to see more awesome art of your awesome Wilson *hug*

Glad to hear that you like it! <3
I commisioned Neko-maya because of how her drawings and paintings seem to 'glow' due to the way she handles colours and lighting.
It's like, really bright, but not in the kind of way that requires the viewer to put on sunglasses c:
I owe you so much credit for Wilson's design. He wouldn't have been even half as interesting without your help <3

I am not entirely sure, but I think it's the way the props are fueled that you are having a hard time extinguishing them to begin with. I mean I have seen the variant where the ends of a prop are covered in cloth and soaked in fuel, and even that was hard to extinguish merely by rotation, and I'm sure that was the crude version of the thing.
