I swear some places up my way never stop promoting Christmas regardless of the month of the year. Of course, this is a tourist area, so gotta catch those tourist dollars in the middle of summer up here in the Maine wilderness by selling them lobstah Christmas ornaments on Memorial Day weekend.
I've seen "Christmas Tree Shop" here in New England. They're an overstock/discontinued merchandise store like Big Lots. Only see Christmas items in'em at the same time as other chains. I think they use the Christmas monicker to imply their "bargains" make you feel like you're getting an early Christmas gift. (shrug)
I work at a grocery store and we've been playing Christmas music over the intercom. I went into work today and they had decorations up already, presumably they had them up just after Thanksgiving (which was the 27th)
