MOVING PICTURES: THE KID RUSH PROJECT - cover mock up
Working on miscellaneous art in between the Sexy Geddy pics....
Had this idea for a few months already, but never had a solid idea for a cover....
This is just a mock up, but I might use it if I ever go through with my idea for a comic....
MOVING PICTURES: THE KID RUSH PROJECT.
"Rush, just celebrating their 40th year as a band, have a wild idea to do Moving Pictures all over again, but with a twist - they're not the ones doing the record!
After months of consultations with different cloning labs, they and their manager decide on one from central Canada, Roddarren Laboratories. Run by one doctor, Dr. Rod Stewagoe, and his assistant(and wife) Michelle, he manages to clone the band members, with their musical experiences programmed into the minds of the new clones, which are 18 years of age. But, the clones have the looks that Rush did back in 1981(when Moving Pictures came out)
The band has one challenge for the new clones: to re-record Moving Pictures, but using modern music techniques incorporating dubstep-type keyboard flavours, ass kicking bass-based rhythms and complex guitar-bass-drum sequences(all done with the band's respective instruments) as well as incorporating the original feel of the original Moving Pictures album.
Will they succeed? Or will it become the enemy within?"
What do you think? Would you buy this series?(7 books - one for each track of the album, incorporating the lyrics in the title)
Comment with your suggestions!
This isn't real......yet....I've got a sort of idea of how the series will unfold, but haven't pinned anything down yet....
As always Art/ Rod Stewagoe © Illia St. Onge 2014
