Enlist now and show those Huns what we're made off (besides fluffy-cuddly fur)
This is it guys, just one of many Photoshop CS5 project's I've been focusing these past 4 months for college. One of the reason's why I've been so slow with art and submissions lately.
You maybe wondering why I'm emphasizing Photoshop here?
Many you may or may not know, but I generally don't use Photoshop for my regular works. I was made to diverse myself with the program for class purposes (in which I am happy to oblige since I always did want to learn how to use Photoshop, and considering it's like one of the main-stream programs for artists now days).
So go easy on me in terms of quality on this one, cause I'm still learning and still homing in my skills with P.S.
For now, I'll post this here as an accomplishment of 5 days of practically none stop work on this poster.
Our objective was to create a full rendered poster that contained at least (1) humanoid figure and a background (apply what we've learned in the past 4 months).
I based my image off a WW1 U.S. Marines poster on this one (rather, the text was).
Hope it lives up to your standards, guys. I'm not like the pro's at this, but it's a start. I'll probably use P.S. for doodles on tumblr. (Expect other studies and projects from this class later on)

Aye. Most of the main belligerents' economies were tanking pretty hard. Russia worse than everyone else. Admittedly Germany was only playing for time by that point but I think the other players were worn down enough that she could have received better terms than she did with boats full of fresh faces and supplies coming overseas.
Outstanding piece! Looks like Photoshop lends itself to a lot more texture than usual - it gives it a much softer, deeper look. Love the subject and both characters!
Did you like using Photoshop? Sometimes I find it can be a bit clunky during the art phase, but it's tough to top for post-production finishing work. Some people swear by it through the whole process too. Whatcha think?

Well thank you. A majority of the time I spent working on P.S. I was thinking of you and your skills, channeling my inner LittleNapoleon, so to receive a kind comment from you was bliss. XP
Any ways
For my first official presentable piece done via P.S. I'm fairly satisfied.
As for working with Photopshop, my sentiments about it are roughly the same as I initially concluded - It's complicated as hell! But, in terms of functions and broadness of abilities, P.S. was pretty cool to work with (in which I always wanted to try my hand at it)
With all due respect to PaintSAI (in which I occasionally use) It's a fine program and also far efficient and qualified for excellent art. However, I studied on P.S. for 3 months, so P.S. became a lot more easier for me to work with. If I had formal training with SAI, I'd probably go with SAI. As of now, I'll still use P.S. probably for doodles and light sketching for tumblr (in which I'm doing now).
Any ways, thanks again L.N.
