if i remember it was becuse of tighter toy safty laws in the states that the pipes wher adjusted.

and they took out all the springs from the guns too.

ther wher some rare examples , the first lot of tf came directly from japan and still had all ther original part and shooty rocket lanchers , the ons made in american factorys dident include the "offending" bits.

Actually we've got a diffirent Prime altogether here. We get the Japanese long-piped version of Prime but with American plastic parts. Now thats a spin-out.

PS: Just found Prime as his Alternator version on the shelves here. Happy times. :D

The US gets screwed-ed-ed on alot of things like that. I couldn't bring myself to buy 60th Anniv. Prime cause I was like "but...but...ours is different and therefore somehow suckier than the Japanese version..."

I think they went with short pipes because the long ones were a 'choking hazard' or some BS.
