Just a picture of me with one of my favourite books, "Indo-European Language and Culture: An Introduction" by Benjamin W. Fortson IV. It's all about the Indo-European family of languages and its reconstructed common ancestor, Proto-Indo-European or PIE (hence the title of this submission).
Linguistics and music: my two greatest fascinations.
Also, as you can see, my eyes are almost completely healed from last month's surgery. Just a little streak of blood in the left one (on the right side of the image — I had to flip it to get the text on the book facing to right way), a trifling thing that should fade well before the new year.

Thanks! I also visited another eye surgeon's office yesterday just to see how the backs of my eyes were faring. Apparently, I've got a clean bill of retinal health! (Aside from the already-identified myopia (near-sightedness) and amblyopia (lazy eye; from Ancient Greek ἀμβλυωπία "dull-sight", from ἀμβλύ(ς) amblu(s) "blunt, dull; not sharp/keen" + οπ- op- "eye" + a suffix), although the surgery has ameliorated the latter for the time being)
