This is another commissioned piece.
It was not what I expected and a few details were left out, but overall I am happy with it.
This piece was done by the wonderful
somenity She is very talented and has a great art style. As I said above, a few details were left out on the vehicle, but I wasn't very specific and she made up for it with her own unique style. She is capable of almost anything you you ask of her and her work is not all that expensive.
The sergal is Iosw, (My Fursona) he is admiring his new purchase in his off time. The car is a 1984 Datsun 300zx 50th Anniversary edition. I had bought it mid October of this year. It was sitting for five years before I laid hands on it. It was in rough shape and still is, but I hope to have it fully restored within three or four years. The project had to be put on hold due to a rear end collision that nearly totaled my Impreza WRX. This Datsun is now my daily driver until my Subaru is repaired.
This is my third 300zx I have owned. The first was a 1985.5 Datsun. It was a rare model in the sense that it was manufactured late in 1985. At this time Nissan was running out of parts and used parts from the 86 model to complete it. Next was 1988 Nissan 300zx Z31. There was not much difference between the cars except for a few body parts and finally I have one of my dream cars, The 50th Anniversary.
Now I wish to lay some stupid questions/statements to rest;
Q: Is it the twin turbo model or is it naturally aspirated?
A: Single turbo. The 300zx was never twin turbocharged under Datsun and they did not twin turbocharge it until 1990 with the Z32. This is an 84.
Q: Don't you mean 'Nissan' Datsun never produced the 300zx.
A: True. Datsun never actually produced the 300zx, but they designed the original while Nissan manufactured it. The first generation of the 300zx was sold with Datsun badges.
Statement: Datsuns must have been terrible cars if Nissan had to buy them out.
Correction: False. Datsun is Nissan. Same company different name. In 1982 Datsun as part of a marketing stunt changed their name to sell more vehicles in North America... Americans at the time still remembered Pearl Harbor and Datsun was the producer of the aircraft that dropped the bombs. Please know your history people.
Again the artwork was done by the amazing
