The suffering of innocents isn't funny. Nor entertaining fiction.
You wanna know when pain is funny or entertaining? Slapstick or schadenfreude. Because it's spontaneous or the one being hurt is a jerk. Then we feel a sense of relief. Watching people who don't deserve it suffer isn't entertaining, it's cruel.

Yeah. And the thing is, the story doesn't seem to play it like this is a tragedy. It's like "ha ha, stupid humans", "isn't this a funny twist on it all"? No, it's...it's really not. It's just meanspirited. And the idea of "Pokemon don't attack people" hasn't been in any canon. In the games and anime, beings like Carnivine and Arbok and others are well known for attacking humans. To say people don't expect Pokemon to try and attack them is provably untrue.
And again, this innocent kid just died and the narrator shows no remorse.
This isn't like that story with the Abra that the author did. At least the Abra's trainer WARNED the bratty kid harassing her and her Pokemon the thing could eat him and that he'd die if he tried to prove her wrong. And he was being a jerk. So his horrid fate was more forgivable? This? The kid was NOTHING but nice to his Pokemon and how does his Pokemon repay a lifetime of kindness? He murders him.
It's not entertaining. It's not funny. And it's not justified.

Alright, fine, fine, fine.
I did make a mistake on saying that "humans in general" think that Pokemon are the kind-hearted species that they really are not I know very well about how the humans can be attacked by Pokemon in several occasions, and a most specific example, is how they always stop you in the games from going out in the grass, because you would be attacked once you do. But just like how they attack people, there is also the counteraction of them not attacking, and think for just a second. What has this Pokemon been through? More than enough mean situations to turn it into a rough kind of Pokemon, and then all of a sudden everything's just roses.
Just think in the character's eyes for a moment. Sure, he's relaxed and he's nice, but maybe, just subtly sometimes he thinks negatively on these people for living such a normal life under his circumstances. And I didn't exactly try to make it play out like a tragedy either, because, guess what? I'm writing stories for fun. Ever heard of that concept?
Oh, hey, and just so you know bad things happen all the time. Yea, that's my justifiable reason for this story, because bad things happen to good people all the time. You want an example? Martin Luther King Jr was nothing but nice and peaceful, and people still shot him! It happens, it happened, and it's going to happen forever on. The Pokemon wasn't with the kid for a lifetime, either. If anything, it was more like a year, even less than that.
I don't get why I even have to justify myself on this. I mean, hey, I might be doing a bad job on this, I dunno! But I do know how radical people's thoughts on things like this are, and they range from soft little flowers to sick monsters. And, wow, guess what, I'm one of them. I enjoy the suffering and pain. And I'm not going to say that I particularly loved what I did what the story, it's so far from perfect. And the story was sad, too, sure. But the oh, so horrific truth?
It's going to happen. It has happened in the past. And it will happen again. Your opinions matter, but sometimes there's someone else out there who's going to find this entertaining and funny. Maybe not justified, but why does that part matter? It's a story. And I'm learning to write still. Of all the things to bring from this, I am still learning to write, we all are. What's wrong with getting to enjoy myself for what I write, whether it's the worst thing in the world or the best piece of poetry I've ever written?
Out of anything, I'm not saying you're wrong. I would have felt sad if this happened, in real life. But, because it's not, I get to feel a little less sad about my self and enjoy a fetish that I hold dear to my heart.

And you know what, I would have more than happily let this whole thing drop if it wasn't made such a big deal about it. I respect that you've got contradictory opinions on things, but when you go out of your way to write "screw you" on someone's page because you don't like deaths in your stories, I'm pretty sure that's called just being a jerk.
I respect that you're saying "Hey, I don't like this stuff", but next time you could have obviously just exited the page if you disliked it that much. Varying opinions does not warrant such bad behavior.

I can understand that you can be so defensive about something that you hold close to your heart. But know that there's always another choice aside from being so mean to people, it's really unneeded, despite what anyone thinks of a given situation. Let's just calm down and rest before we say anything else. I feel like there's little else that can be said on it, we've each had our say on this.
I liked the story but, I can’t say that I loved the ending. Generally speaking digestion gives me anxiety and seeing it here was really sad. For someone who had loved his Pokemon all his life to. Be met with such a gruesome end was really heartbreaking...
Otherwise your writing was excellent, and the word composition was really supportive of the way you write I enjoyed reading regardless of what my views of the end are.

Hi, thanks for your supportive comment! I appreciate the feedback given! Sorry that you didn't enjoy the end content too much, but I was expecting as much, everything can't appeal to everyone after all.
For a story written over 4 years ago, it's good to see that some people can enjoy the way it was written at least. I'm always working on bettering myself, maybe sometime in the future if you give my gallery a look over you'll find something more suited to your tastes! Again, thanks for being kind enough to leave a comment (And apologies for taking so long getting back to you!)
