He didn't know what Dominion wanted with a growth ray, though quite frankly, whatever it was couldn't have been good. He'd assumed that Nostor Inc would have kept something of that power well hidden, well protected, or written in theory only. Preferably all three.
The fight had been almost stock standard. Minions were minions. Aesc too busy in his attempts to organize the device's removal to put that dastardly ray-gun of his to use.
'No! Not there!' morpheus had heard the ram yelling, catching sight through the bunnies in their red and black power suits, of the ram berating one of the visored minions as they slid a rope under the device, pressing a button.
There was a flash of light as the weapon discharged. Why were these things always self-powered?! Give it an electrical cable and you'd solve half the issues he had to deal with!
Aesc copped it full in the chest, standing still for moments, wide-eyed, body thrumming with an eerie silver light. And then he began to grow, rapidly.
The minions, heedless to their commander's empowered state kept on with their battle, even as the ram's cap-toed feet spread out, his hunched form reaching the roof, pushing through it.
'We have a major emergency!' Morpheus shouted as he pressed a finger to his earpiece. 'Get down-town cleared as fast as you can!!'
'Why? what's going o-' The voice went silent as Aesc's still growing form pushed up, his back surging up through the roof of the building. The wide-eyed ram grinning in a rather ominous way.
'On it!!' Morpheus' contact yelled back.
'Only one way to keep this under control..' The young hero murmured thoughtfully. Eyeing the untouched growth-beam as Aesc stepped out of the building, leaving large chunks of roof and metal raining down among the dazed and now confused minions..
Soaring over the heads of the bunnies, he skittled the closest rabbit to the machine with a kick, and standing before the beam, pressed the button underneath it.
His eyes clenched shut as the beam hit him as it had the ram before him. The energy coursing through his form making him gasp. The thick tingling warming every fiber of his being.. And then, like Aesc, he began to grow in kind, suit and all.
The strength coursing through him, he could feel, was limited.. A promising sensation. He just had to keep the ram busy.
Hearing the wall-rattling, booming steps of his arch-nemesis' head minion, and a great, amused bleating and a crash of some poor building copping a hoof crushing through it's roof, the hero winced. This was going to get messy.
