guilt, agony, sorrow and pain .


Guilt is a friend that holds me close.
Wither it is of body, or soul.
He is near me at all times
He is around all the time.
He is my constant companion and he is here to stay.

Agony is my mistress that punishes me with delight.
She holds her whip nice and tight
To bring these feelings of dread
And place them deep within my heart.
She stays over me like a master over her slave.

Sorrow is thy father, with a cold embrace
He brings me to days of gray.
He enjoys the game of pain
He tortures my soul with a child’s delight.
He is my father, the harbinger of suffering

pain is thy mother, with a freezing kiss
She brings me to my knowledge
It is her that allows me to live
Only in pain may I see clear
For her is the reason I strive to know
So that I may stop her, and all her throes
Even though I hate to be matricidal
That is a mother I will gladly hate.

Guilt, Agony, Sorrow, and Pain
The four woes
We can escape.
We must surrender to the light
We must learn
To live our lives.
