Well, I'm kind of a vagrant in ED at the moment, scrounging enough money for a A4 FSD for my Cobra for maximum exploration, with my goal set as the Barnard's Loop/Orion Nebula Area
I did start up in Cosi, and made a trip to Sol, before somehow ending up back to around Cosi... don't really have a frequent system, though I did have a bit of a thing going between a tech and industry systems (Wolf something or other), and Nandabinja (sic?) is currently probably my closest tech system, just going around near the edge of Federation, looking at extraction and industry systems for nice sights, as well as decent ringed gas giants to mine... though I might turn my Cobra back to a more combat-oriented load-out and see if I can gather some bounty money in some system
(Actually, not really sure if I need the A4, if I could just find some D class stuff for my Shield, Powerplant and Thrusters (all C atm), for less weight... though then again, there might be longer gaps here and there, so having more jump-range can't be bad. I did downgrade my fueltank to a class 3, since I have a good scoop, and have a decent idea on what stars can be scooped from. Class 2 fuel would be stretching my luck a bit too much)

Impressive! I started in a system with a 12 syllable Russian name that i couldn't pronounce. And worked my way to the erannin system for a bit, i recently travelled down to SOL to get involved in the civil war. Not going well for Gaia at the mo, so gonna do some merc work around there and maybe some bounty hunting.
but i'm strapped for cash because some bloody pirate in an anaconda shot hell out of my cobra, so i gotta get enough to fix that up first.
With any luck i can find some good weapons and shields around SOL or Wolf 359 and get her back to fighting strength

ED, PD2, Chiv, WT
Hehe, if you think so :) (Just... I'm not like super-professional, I mostly try to have a good time, though I've found with Chiv that I need to be in the same team with the people I'm talking to, or my mindset somehow turns competitive (and not very nice) after a bit of playing ^^; )

Hmm, I may have subconciously drawn the super-blocky cars of racing games of years past on purpose...
Generally these were meant to be the more modern games, though I did play some of those in the early-mid 90's :) I do miss some things from that time... though playability has in some cases got a lot better, and 3D graphics certainly.
Also, Conqueror... David Braben sure has worked on a multitude of games in his time.

What I loved in Conqueror was that you could play the game jsut as well in single player mode as in 2-player mode, simply by either using both joysticks on your own or handing either the driver or the gunner stick to a friend.
There was a raycaster-engine demo in 1998 for a tank-battle game you could play via nullmodem which allowed either 4 players per machine via splitscreen ( one platoon per machine ) or in networked mode allowed 3 players per machine to control one tank ( driver, gunner, and commander, who could communicate with the other tanks in the platoon via text chat and could see the tanks positions on the map ).
Sadly they never got the network mode to run.
It was TRON Tank Battle all over, and I liked the idea of a team of players controlling one tank together.
Sadly Commodore and it's successors incompetence killed the Amiga better than anything else.
Anyway, as long as my A1200 still runs, I'm gonna offer Dynablaster 5-people-parties regularly ...
Or whatever thats Dynablaster-Clones name is.
