I am thoroughly convinced that this...thing is powered by hate. My hate, your hate, Phone Guy's hate...this...thing...I have much hatred for it. So keep that damn music box wound up, because it doesn't need to feed on more hate. It's annoying enough as it is.

My theory is that the Puppet's possessed by one of the victims from the murders at the Diner, and that Jeremy's a copycat killer whom the Puppet and the other animatronics are out to stop; the Bite finally happens when one of the NEW animatronics gets desperate enough to attack him openly; Jeremy isn't around for Night 7, and Foxy was already out of order BEFORE the Bite.
Actually, I DO think Mike is a poor shmuck in a bad situation; my theory is that the old robots attack him because they don't have facial-recognition tech— and they weren't present for the Bite— so they assume he and Phone Guy are Jeremy because they wore the same uniform.
And AFAIK, it's never been confirmed that Jeremy ISN'T the murderer; hell, the killer could be Phone Guy, for all we know, or or just some random employee.

I was more just commenting on how these theories crop up. And, from what I usually see, such theories where Mike and/or Jeremy are the Killer are from people who are trying to make the animatronics into tragic heroes when they clearly aren't (save for the minigame that implies that Freddy or Toy Freddy tried to save the kids). I was not trying to disrespect you, and I am sorry if I did.
Apology accepted, and I'm not trying to make them out to be heroes, just trying to put together an explanation that makes sense without resorting to "OMG DEMONS!".
The whole "the Puppet is behind all the killings" theory hasn't really been denied AFAIK, so it could be true, though it's just so incredibly obvious that it feels like a red herring.
With all that said, though, I admit to liking a lot of the ways they're portrayed in fanfiction, especially OmegaV's fics.

I get you. I was just noting a trend. And, personally, I think less "demons" than "souls wanting revenge, but not being able to attack the one responsible". Because, honestly, the atmosphere of FNaF is very "Why is this happening to me? I didn't do anything wrong!" That said, I reserve ultimate judgment and refrain from really making any theories unless I get Word of Scott to confirm it.
Cool, I am trying to work on a pair of FNaF fanfics, myself.
