I commented how in my country, Trinidad & Tobago, glass bottle Coke is easily accessible and can be bought at most any grocery outlet, mini mart, supermarket, palour, roadside soft drink vendor, or at any convenience store that sells "cold drinks".
Well, I dunno if Wolf was subliminally telling me to get a glass bottle Coke or not because on the way home, I had to stop at the pharmacy to purchase some medication and guess what was being sold with the rest of the cold drinks in their refrigerator? I couldn't stop smiling as I paid for said glass bottle Coke along with my meds.
Now if you'll excuse, I'm going to enjoy one of the "simple luxuries" of life. ;3

Oh-ho! What you have there is the 8oz size bottle, which seems to be much more popular now outside of North America(I have a bottle like that with the lettering in Arabic, that someone brought me from Saudi Arabia).
The bottles we get from Mexico are the 12oz and 1/2-liter ones. I can remember getting the glass one-liter bottles back home in Canada when I was a kid, but I'm pretty sure those were all gone by the time I was a teen, replaced by the liter and two-liter plastic bottles.
The odd thing is that when I do see 8oz bottles here, they tend to be *aluminium* bottles.

And you know, I don't know if soda has expiration dates, although I can't imagine that really, really old soda would taste very good, unless it was stored in really optimal conditions , "store in a cool, dry, dark place".
