
As the title says this was agift from my friend typhon. after hearin about my birthday it seems typhon decided to make me my special bird in the sky in wonderful 3d rendering *smiles and snuggles him* the Pheonix was a plane i had designed for fun as a hopeful hero class unit for the pc and xobx 360 game Command and Conquer 3 Tiberium wars.
I had once to try and make a mod for the game to add more stuff and one of them was the pheonix a prototype plane based off the GDI Firehawk that could attack aieral and ground based targets with its nose mounted guns as well the machine gun rail guns on hardpoints. the vehilce was set up so no matter what way the vehicle was set up either with AA missiles or AG bombs it could attack still both air and ground targets.
though typhon says some of the parts of my sketch are issing and parts and pieces can't be found its still a wonderful belated birthday gift *snuggles the bird and giggles* :)

*chuckles* my jet as i said was designed by me as i was alittle annoyed by the seemingly air surperiority of the Scrin and Brotherhood. though in late games Nod looses its air superiourity to the Scrin and instead seem to focus on a disturbingly lethel AA direction. <.< I was watching a game were a Scrin Mother ship and battle fleet in tow was ambushed by Nod AA and in complete seconds the whole group was blown from the sky.
I was happy though that in the expansion for C&C they introduced the Hammerhead. the apc flyer of the gdi it made me feel a little less outclassed by the other forces air units. more so when i had a group of 15 of them smoke both a Scrin Ravager and a Nod Redeemer in one fight XD stupid computer that one game :P it never did it again amazingly.

Hehe I love the Zocom for that. Zone Raiders I'm glad for the AA capabliltys of Nod... Nod always had issues with that in the old games. I HATE Scain aircraft... its too good. Hammerheads remind me of another older unit of Yuri's revenge... My all time fave of the allied forces, the IFV. Hehe Hammerheads rule. I've destroyed entire bases with them.
Someone who would draw their weapon designs. Hehe I think you'd make some good friends there. * Hugs* hehe Plus you wanted to do mods. There would be people who do that there. I on the otherhand.. would not even know where to start with that... I did map design on Yuri's revenge. ( yes I mention that alot. its one of my faves.) hehe On one map I Aegis crusers on land, for Yuri use. Mind control worked but they were immoble AA batteries.
And on another map I build a massive mixed team base with a wall of Yuri gattling towers and Tesla coils lined from top to bottom. It was insane. I never saw more nuke-powerplants in a map ever.. Good thing I set the ai as passive for it. hehe... and on another map had litteral forest of the stealth tanks that turn into trees.

nahhh it was more of a you have to get though this mess first and a watch where you send your forces kinda thing. If you managed to get engineers in to the neutral base you had access to all 3 mcv's an infinte energy slupply and production facilities..... problem is getting the units out to the battlefield once you got into the base. lol
Hrmm. Interesting design. The forward-swept wings and the exposed barrels of the craft point to it being a low-speed, likely primarily subsonic design, more of a bomb truck and low-speed tank-buster than an air dominance or intercept type. The cockpit would hint at it, too, as it's got some serious visibility problems. Looks VERY nice, though, for a "chunk" vessel as I call them: in other words something that while it's big and evil-looking and looks like a sweet target has the armor, mass, and backups to shrug off anything but the most telling of hits.
the design was redone slightly by Typhon when he had to make it in his rendering i believe. it was suppose to be more streamline to make it quite decently quick. though as you said it does 'borrow' a little idea from the tank busters as it does the occassional strifing run.

yes dear i do. i have a few more laying about. one of the other ones i put up was the modified Predator tank that is already in my gallery. its modified as it was suppose to have a bit more armor though you don't see it from above. as well as a pintle mounted rail machine gun for infantry hassels and maybe a little AA when the plane isn't too close to the tank.
kinda. the gun in C&C3 is normally mounted on turrets or vehicles. the machine gun turret or the apc has them in C&C3 the gun has a cooling issue hence why but in the story they are working on making it smaller man portable and the Commando's for GDI carry those prototype guns. i decided i wanted to draw a tank with one of those turrets on it just to make those little rocket bastards leave my poor poor preds alone :P

*shakes hir head8 you see the ifv gets a weapon based off who is in it.. so in theory if i put a allied dolphin in it.. it hsould make a poweful sonic weapon in he vehicle... just i may have to find a way to submerge it to get it to work properly... hmmm... a SUB IFV hmmmm.. theres a though *runs to hir drawing board*
*laughs* still got the game but i love to mod it with Deezire or Moomans rules games. mostly moomans because in that game everything that 'shoots' can get promotions *laughs* nothing more sick then a prism tower with full upgrade on it *laughs* had that and it annilated an apoc tank company on its own was funny XD but i love Moomans rules becase it has a nice model and balanced for the M1A2 abrams to the game. :) very well made mod.
