the only real problem with that is when your arms are down at your sides the wings may look bad, though that being said i realy like the design ^^

I think it may need to be moved down juuust a little to prevent foreward-wraparound when your arms are down. But nevertheless, echoing what I said over on LJ, I love this piece. I like the asymmetry of the tail here, too! It really suits you ;)

Yeah, the positioning is definitely still in flux, and I may end up having to shorten the wings some so I can match the joints up to the shoulder. I gotta test it with paint and my body!

That's more than a tatoo, it's like going on the rackfor several hours of intense torture. I also worry about what a body looks like when they're 50. what looks sexy and natural and pretty at 24 might just look like a grey-green blur 25 or 30 years later, like they stamp on meat at the grocery. Get a shirt. Shirts you can change.

Yeah, but your hair is going to fall out and go grey too, does that mean you shouldn't enjoy it (dying, interesting cuts) when it's pretty? Old people's bodies are gross looking, wrinkled flesh is not going to be attractive whether or not it has a droopy tattoo on it, and to be frank, the shoulders are one of the least saggy areas.

I don't know. Life is too short to worry about looking good when you're 80, because it's not going to happen.

Far better to do what makes you happy regardless of what others think...

It's nothing compared to some back pieces I've seen - and I'm into a certain amount of S&M. I've already made some major changes to my body; what's a new paint job compared to growing tits?

Also, 24 is a long way back; I'm in the upper half of my thirties.

PS: this person doesn't know jack diddly about tattoos. we aren't using supplies from the 30's here, buddy. it also arguably won't be too painful, aside from over the spine and where the skin is thin.

Ah well, y'gotta do what y'gotta do. But getting pieced, slashed, cut, punctured or bitten has never been in my repertoire of life's pleasures. It's like getting a shot. Doesn't bother me becuae I want to do in all the nasty little viruses, and it doesn't hurt *that* much. But I don't get shots for pleasure.

I dig the wings! I don't like the tail quite as much, however.

Yeah, the tail's gonna see a bit more work. Some roughs have it starting around the coccyx and going around one leg; I'm not sure if I want to be that literal.

What if the tips of the wings went over the shoulders? That'd be something.

It varies. Pink is the most common, these days red seems to be the most common variant, followed by purple and a multilayered orange.

Very interesting. I personally love the design however I can see the issue when it comes down to moving your arms. Looking great though.

If you dropped your arms it would look as if the wings folded, propably, like it alot!

Yes, pretty much as you see here. I've been getting the final design tattooed into me for a little more than a year; the black is now electric blue/purple nebulae with stars here and there. When it's all done parts will glow under UV.
