Pretty easy on the pocket so If you're strapped for cash this will make a nice 4-6 bowls for not much money! All together (might) have spent like... 6$ on everything? probably even less since the chicken was frozen and the rice was instant lol almost everyone that cooks a little has the seasonings at home to.
Slow Cooked Chicken & Rice
1 Large chicken breast (I had 3 small frozen ones :P)
2 Cans of Low Sodium Chicken Broth (then 2 cans of water)
2 Bay leaves, 1 Tbsp Thyme, 1 Tbsp Basil,
1 Tbsp Oregano, 1 tsp Pepper, 1 tsp Season Salt
2 Tbsp Soy Sauce (you can use salt but i prefer the taste of soy sauce)
1 Tbsp Fresh Garlic
1 Large Carrot (shredded)
1/2 Large White Onion (diced)
3 Stalks Celery (diced)
1 Cup Rice
Cook on high for about 1.5 hours then set to Low.
When chicken seems cooked through, shred it. (I just used some tongs and a fork, works perfect) Add rice (I used instant rice so it only needed about 20 minuets but if you have regular rice just let it cook a little longer)
Made this today just took a buncha stuff n put it together so I think the ingredient sizes are about right nice end to a cold night. ^^
Don't burn your tongue! I did... ._. I always do...

I just made this yesterday! I really like it! I tried it with the rice mixed it but the rice ended up being cooked too long and turned to mush. I made it a 2nd time with the rice separate, pouring the "soup" over it, it turned out so delicious! Thanks for the great recipe <3
