Thought I'd try some late night doodling and see what happened. Seems that both Link and Mario are going to have to team up to take down this one...
Little poking with color painting and more light/shadow practice. Trying a little two-point lighting, not too satisfied. This looked a lot more epic in my head than I was able to produce.
