December Daily Sketch: 09 - Well fuck.
Obviously I've already quit the challenge 'cuz I haven't had time to do sketches the last couple days. I might try to catch up, or just do as many as I can when time allows. Now back to work..
PS: I'm terrible at any form of inorganic mechanical design.. Gotta get better at straights instead of curves.

I like them. They have their own identity.
Tip: I found that to draw machinery it's helpful to use an isometric view or build a perspective grid, so you can actually draw asìx and lines through your subject like it was a 3d object to make it really symmetrical!
I'm not sure about the engine intakes in the second, though, they seem too much covered (but that depends on how the engine is built, see http://www.forgeworld.co.uk/Warhamm.....E-GUNSHIP.html )

Nah. Middle one is good. Don't count short and squat and curvy out of the picture. Although proper control tech can make up for a world of aeronautical wrongness (look at the very real YF29 which is unconditionally unstable in flight), it can't make them tougher. The middle one would be one buttload tougher in a practical sense. Plus the lift fans where they are would give it the ability to hover like a 'copter
