The Macks! Based on an old one-off Avon comic, which you can read here: http://comicreadinglibrary.blogspot.....-one-shot.html Yeah, it's plenty weird and goony as heck and no, I have no idea if it's the same Avon. Given the way companies multitask or multi-market, it's probable that it is.
Their name was inspired by an old CBS Radio Mystery Theater show, http://youtu.be/tnOo3_kK2SM "Prisoner of the Machines." In the show, they call the machines "Macks" whom have taken over Earth and are keeping prisoners on the moon.
What makes it all REALLY fun is if you picture the Macks looking like these when you're listening to the show. It becomes downright comical when you do that!
