Amfi's real name was Varushka and she lived in poverty, wandering around and struggling to survive until the age of six. Then she was taken by some nice supernatural organization for an experiment

Barfi on the other hand... yeah you can guess now. Rich family, related with one of the European aristocracy (but living in Canada). I'm not sure for either her original name or the name she got after being mutated.

In opposite to Amfi, Barfi doesn't remember her past at all.
