Admittedly, I'm not as familiar with a lot of poetry as some. X3; i love the snippet you posted! Hee. Who is it by, if I may ask?
Although... drawing this did bring to mind an old favorite. ;}
There's a Polar Bear
In our Frigidaire--
He likes it 'cause it's cold in there.
With his seat in the meat
And his face in the fish
And his big hairy paws
In the buttery dish,
He's nibbling the noodles,
He's munching the rice,
He's slurping the soda,
He's licking the ice.
And he lets out a roar
If you open the door.
And it gives me a scare
To know he's in there--
That Polary Bear
In our Fridgitydaire.

Ooh, ooh that is catchy!
Goblin market, I believe, was written by Christina Rossetti. The poem itself is VERY long-winded, but I find that I enjoyed in nonetheless.
And, I must also confess, that I haven't read as much poetry as I'd like to...unfortunately, I've had trouble finding good poetry amidst the endless sea of bad rhymes!

Oh, that is SUPREME. Bed. Coziness. Reading. Bunched up cheeky. Eyebrows.
Also-- I've never seen that afore! The polar bear in the fridge! Ha!
Goblin Market's great. Here, I'll quote my favorite ultra-short by Frost:
V. Pertinax
Let chaos storm!
Let cloud shapes swarm!
I wait for form.
Of course now I have it since I been drawn. ^_^
Wait, since I'm looking at it, here's another:
IV. Evil Tendencies Cancel
Will the blight end the chestnut?
The farmers rathe guess not.
It keeps smoldering at the roots
And seding up new shoots
Till another parasite
Shall come to end the blight.
Frost was brilliant, among other things because he was interesting. American Chestnuts were killed off almost entirely in the first decade of the 20th century by a blight brought from Japan. They were absolutely ginormous trees, and chestnuts were of course edible too. And to quote Wikipedia: "Also, there are at least two pathogens which weaken the fungus (hypovirulence) and many trees survive that way." It's just a great subject for a poem, because it implies everything, but doesn't necessarily say anything.
Anyway, to repeat, my sketch. When I am rich, I will become a nuisance.

*beams and wags* Ooh, so glad you like it! :D I'm also totally honored to be the first one to draw your bear! <3 I also juuuust noticed that I forgot to give you any sorta headtuft/scruff. I can always fix that if you'd like, just gimme the word! If you like it as-is, that's fine too. :3 I'm very pleased that you like it though.
You know, I read some Robert Frost before I uploaded this. I was familiar with his (probably most famous) poem, Stopping By Woods on a Snowy Evening. 'Course, I also adore that poem and not because it's famous - reminds me of home to be honest. There's this certain *sound* the snow makes, falling on pine trees. There's nothing else quite like it. ;} I really rather like most of Frost's poetry about winter - not surprisingly it seems he was fond of the cold weather. This one reminds me keenly of home too, and is also a favorite:
The way a crow
Shook down on me
The dust of snow
From a hemlock tree
Has given my heart
A change of mood
And saved some part
Of a day I had rued.
Oh, and the above polar bear diddy in my other comment is by the amazing and talented Shel Silverstien, whose silly and serious writings I am equally fond of.

Shel Silverstein is a frikkin' genius. Have you seen his "Uncle Shelby's ABZs" by the way? I just read that to my sister the other day, because she'd not seen it before. Partly visual gags, but. Hi-larious!
I like the absence of coiffure, actually-- always have liked anthros w/o that particular affectation. I know I'm in the minority on that one, but it's good as-is.
