So, yeah, I live in Florida, but it can get cold sometimes. Mind you I did live in Alaska for the first half of my life, but I've gotten used to the FL weather and after it get's down to 60 I start to feel it.
My dad on the other hand, might as well be a polar bear, because he opens up all the windows in house and basks in the cool breeze. I always make a comment about him being a polar bear he can be and he seems to think it fits.
This year at home, my family wanted to do a sort of secret santa where everyone makes a Christmas gift and I kinda chose do try to do art for everyone at home. So this is the first one. And yes that's my family. I decided to make myself North in this, rather than Echo, because North fit better with the more "realistic" animal appearance, rather than some cartoon shape shifter. My dad is the Polar Bear, then my brother is the cute Ocelot (boys, he's single -winks- ) My mother is supposed to be an arctic fox, but she kinda looks like a wolf too? She's a fox though, shh. My sister is the penguin.
If you've noticed, North is wearing more coverage than the rest because, being diabetic means you get cold easier and since the blood veins are smaller you don't get as much circulation in places such as your hands, feet, ears and other sensitive, more exposed parts.
Gotta bundle up >.<
Anywho, you guys get to see this well before my dad will. I'm gonna get a print of it and frame it and wrap it and stuff. I'm so excited, and I hope to do it soon. We're doing more shopping tomorrow so maybe I can bring this with me and get it printed then.
Bah! I can't wait.

Side note: The bookshelf in the background has small photos of actual books and dvds and such on it that I took from the same bookshelf it's based off of. And the framed pictures are smaller pictures of pieces of art in my gallery and scraps.
