Oooh man. I live in a section of the Midwest with lots of open duck ponds where the mallard population is do dense that they're practically pests. I spend a lot of time at these places photographing ducks using bread and bird food, in fact its how I first became interested in photography.

But you have to be SERIOUSLY ballsy to get this close to a Canadian Goose. These suckers are mean as hell. I don't know if they could really bite your fingers off, but they would definitely try and I certainly wouldn't take any chances. You sir/madame are honestly one of the bravest photographers I have ever met.

Haha that would be cool, I've never seen a wild swan where I live outside of some who are transients to a nearby zoo...either they're out competed by the mallards or they're a lot shyer.

Well both swans and canada gooses are big and can also be mean once in a while.

It's quite hard to get photos of the inside of their maw like this, quite a challenge I may say because they are quick to bite.
