I've been very distracted ever since my birthday. Part of it had to do with the mini story about Faeberry, Empress of Candystar, my new fursona, and trying to get someone to represent the world shi lives in.
I've also been busy trying to get my arms to stop hurting... While I've isolated the main cause of my weakness, I can't get rid of the sensitiveness, and my elbows, shoulders, and wrists still hurt and ache... Sleeping on my sides is kinda painful.
Well, lemme digress by showing off something I was sorta working on... While I played many games like the GBA Castlevania, as well as some Battle Kid, I came up with an idea, to make Candystar, Faeberry's world, into a side scroller, multi-segmented map, like the ones in Battle Kid / Castlevania. Movement seems to revolve about a screen-by-screen transition, with several similar areas, maybe some puzzle elements, I dunno if I wanna make this a real GAME, I can't program anything for shit, but I sure like concepts like them. Surely, later, the rest of my maps will involve blocks that require interactions, and more zones...
This is Gingerbread Village, a part of Candystar, where half of the kingdom is made out of candy and pastry, and the other half is all toys and games, and in the middle, would be Faeberry's imperial palace. Where things happen.
I made the tileset myself, and plan on maybe getting some help from people who have ideas for how I should make the other areas. There's about 16 areas in total... This is part of one of them, the first one in the 'game'.
