Sooner or later I'm going to have to touch color. I've dabbled a bit before, but it seems I keep learning more and more about working with just black and white or pure value.

This piece became sort of an experiment after I remembered something - higher contrast usually makes things seem closer, so the darkest blacks are in the closer parts of the picture for the most part.

Anyways, I'm still not great at rendering, but this is a step in the right direction.
