There are times when I feel like I did a mistake. The biggest mistake probably was not investing more into this concept yet and to also have a series based on it. Considering how great this artwork turned out I'm sure it would have been cool to see how that Krokorokdude would have greeted the funloving Totodile and even more of the messy fun that he'd have caused by covering more of his scaly hide with rubber-like paint.
I can honestly say, I really dig that sorta melty and shifting body expression the sandy-black guy gives away here. And the colors give away much of his structure, too. Shiny a bit like latex paint but still goopy like if he'd be made of mud of sorts. It probably feels warm and cool at the same time, a bit ticklich for Shiny to have that mass of the fella crawling over him slowly. =3
Like told before, I really like about transformations that they have that overwhelming feeling. You just roll with that fantastical situation and change and enjoy it. In me lil Dile's case, I could imagine it's quite a lot of fun to have a liquid sort of costume for him. He loves playing with paint, mud and slimy stuffs to begin with. I mean, what isn't fun and cute about the thought of a lil fella like Shiny just having a ball with the goopy and sticky stuff, getting a silly look on himself before probably later hopping into a bubblebath. I definitely like it especially because it's unusual and still enjoyable from a fun viewpoint. X3
And it sure does look like Shiny enjoys having all that stuff over him and seeing the changes that are literally lifting him to a bigger size through the help of the also quite funloving goopy fella. Maybe the Krokorok is a Ditto in disguise? Or he is a liquidshifter of sorts, maybe a Krokorok who also loves to play with slime and thought it would be cool to entertain others who share that joy with him together? Like always, a great way to inspire lots of possible plots and I'd definitely love some writers describe that sort of fun experience and possible continuations to that scene. Maybe the two of them could go somewhere fun or maybe the Totodile simply invites the sandy Croc for a meal later yet. Who knows? (^.=.^)
